About

Atelier Crestani Venice Gallery is a permanent exhibition space dedicated to the work of Simone Crestani, master glassmaker and artist. Atelier Crestani Venice was born from a partnership between Atelier Crestani and Murano Art Glass. A collection of unpublished works by master glassmaker Simone Crestani is exhibited in the spaces of the new Venetian gallery.

The artist’s glass pieces tell of profound research linked to the instinctive pleasure of possessing the beauty of nature. The spaces in which these works come to life are transformed creating a magical atmosphere, where fragments of ‘Naturalia and Artificialia’ become rare objects shaped to “understand the world” through a refined technique that imitates nature itself.

SIMONE CRESTANI

Born in 1984 in Marostica, Simone Crestani began working with glass at age 15. After a long apprenticeship, he opened his own studio while continuing to evolve. An introspective and self-taught artist, he combines technique and poetry. His style is distinguished by his use of transparent glass, which he works sculpturally with blown and unblown elements.
